Hi
I have en ex-Maestro Perkins 2L diesel fitted in my Lightweight Land Rover.
The previous owner fitted the engine and did not connect up the water temperature and oil temperature gauges.
I would like to get some visibility of these factors and have the space to fit new gauges. However what I don't know is the spec of the sender units, ie screw thread size and type.
So what screw thread is on the Perkins water temperature sender and what is on the oil pressure sender so that I can fit the correct T piece adaptor to get the oil pressure gauge working while keeping the existing pressure warning light?
On a more general note, does anyone know a source of parts catalogues (printed / cd etc) for the Perkins 2L turbo diesel.

Thanks for the link to the Prima Conversion site, lots of useful info there.
Looking at the parts list it suggests the Montego exhaust downpipe, part number UGEX11015. Searching parts suppliers on the web comes up with a range of different numbers for Maestro and Montego downpipes, such as BL59P and BL97H-OL. I presume some of the confusion is caused by British Leyland and Unipart numbering systems. Can you shed any light on the suitability of these alternatives, or does it not matter very much as a length of flexible pipe is suggested which can accommodate a bit of variation in the downpipes.

i could,nt say but probably in regards of your different numbers,as for yer exhaust i like to fit and forget so if you,ve the funds get a stainless one med up to suit instead of cobbling it
