Stupid question this, but I got a set of pedal rubbers off a mate for my SIIa - he bought 'em for his defender but they don't fit, and the pedals on Jarvis were bare metal when I got him.

They have metal prongs protruding from the sides of the rubber which are presumably for battering round the pedal to clip em on. But they also have an extra prong at one end (either top or bottom) which sticks out - is this meant to stop yer foot sliding up over the rubber or something?

They do look crap, but they were free! :D

Cheers Mseries3 - those are the same ones I have, think I was looking at 'em sideways!

Still can't quite fathom why that one prong sticks out the front rather than the side like the rest, weird.

Is it two round the side and one over the top?

Seems to be two up and over, two under, one to the side - which leaves a prong sticking straight out. Whether that is to take the place of the raised edge on the clutch & brake pedals, to prevent yer foot slipping off, I'm not sure.

Pain in the arse buggers to fit in situ - I had to put a block under the pedals to stop them moving and even then I haven't managed to bend all the prongs with a hammer.

Going to really thump them into place tomorrow once I've fetched the bigger hammer!

The bit sticking up is supposed to be there the other tabs bend under the pedals.
