hey guys and gals, got a 1995 discovery tdi 2.5 auto and for some reason the passenger side 2 heaters are only blowing ice cold air but the drivers side 2 are both getting warm as they should. Any ideas why the passenger side wont blow warm? Thanks

Easy one first... You have got the passenger side set to hot haven't you???

Does the knob feel like its 'working' does it have the same resistance to turning as the drivers side one?

yup they are both set to hot and the nob feels pretty tight the same as the drivers side. I have checked under the bonnet to see if both pipes are getting warm that go through the bulkhead and they both seem warm mate, so im lost now for ideas?

The heat output to each side is controlled independently by the "temperature control knobs " each operating a bye-pass damper that blends cold air not passing thro the heater matrix with hot air that passes thro the heater matrix to provide a variable temperature of warm air. In the max hot position all the air passes thro the heater matrix.
The byepass damper is cable controlled by the temperature control knob.
My guess is that the cable has become detached at either the control knob end or the damper end and as a result the control knob isn't operating the damper.
Case of looking at each end of the cable I'm afraid. Bit fiddley.

cheers for that info, I will try and have a look the weekend buddy, is there an easy way to get to behind the panel to check?
