My passenger door won't lock or unlock with the central locking.
It makes the right noises but the button doesn't go up or down and the door doesn't unlock - If you see what i mean?

Hubby is currently taking the door panel off and having a nosey (20 minutes to get the inner handle off).

Anyone have any ideas, or where to point him to look (apart from inside the door)?

Re:"20 minutes to get inner door handle off" if at some time before the end of this Millenium the door panel is removed and the moisture barrier peeled away you might lubricate the actuator rods from the central locking solenoid and ensure all connections are clean and tight.D..

Ps. While you're in there anyway, lubricate anything that moves particularly the window drive cable as LR never bothered.

It will probebly be the door latch motor [its a solinoid really] and as Dan says try and spay with wd -40 if that dont werk then youll need to replace it. . . . . .

The bugger has been WD - 40'd and it's still not working.

Is it expensive to have it repaired?
