Hi
Never a good question to ask but I have this part(shown in photo) that I'm not sure belongs on my 90 2.5TD or not. I got a job lot of parts for using in the rebuild and have been less than vigilant in keeping inventory with what came from where.
Could anybody help me identify what it is and where it goes.

suspension spring retainer. never managed to make them fit when i swapped to uprated springs.
