Hi, recently someone drove into the back of my car, very very slowly so there was no damage at all, but enough to damage a parking sensor. Now, whenever I engage reverse the "beep" is always constant. Anyone know if it's relatively easy to replace a sensor, or is it best left to someone "professional"?

Thanks,

Ronak.

I would assume they just pop out but don't take my word for it. Can you not see behind the bumper from under the vehicle?

Not Sure If They Pop Out Or Not,but You Can Get To Them From The Underside Of The Bumper, looked At Mine When I Was Going To Do The Rear Light Mod,all The Electrics Are Located Behind Youre Left Hand Rear Light Cluster, hope This Helps ... Jiffy

Or buy a series landy with steel girders for bumpers, we don't
care what hits us,
I had a woman in a Disco hit me in a petrol station
scratched my galvanization and and she wanted my insurance details.

They are ir[infra red] sensors and one or more is u/s [hence the warning note] unless ya know how ta test for a faulty sensor best leave to the experts ,have a look ta see if there is evidence of damage , they are easy to change. . .:)

I know which one was hit, so I am 99.9% sure which one is damaged. Just wanted to know if I was to buy a new one how easy it would be to replace the damaged one, or whether I should get a garage to do it.

These aren't standard kit are they

They are on the V6 - but not IR - they heat sensitive - not sure how a post would show up b4 yu hit it;)

if its expensive - get an aftermarket kit - nice and cheap now and a doddle to fit.
