Hey all I have a disco td5 and I have an annoying issue!
I have 51 reg vin 2a
I have had a it lifted 2inch and recently had to have a new panhard rod as the threads stripped on the old 1(no idea how)
The old panhard was a terafirma tf254 as is the new one only difference according to them is the exterior finish.
I can not for the life of me get the new 1 into alignment the minimum length of the rod is 824mm and when the car is aligned according to there fitting instructions the best gap I can get is 815mm.
Is there anything that would cause this to be thrown off?
Visual inspection everything looks straight and correct.
Also the old 1 was fine on the car. Has anyone got pictures of the older zinc style tf254 with a 2inch lift ?

On a standard panhard rod there are no threads - do you mean the threads of the bolts ?

To fit the adjustable panhard rods you will need a ratchet strap or two!

thre word terrafirma gives away the problem.... aka terrra rubbish the build quality and contrilo is a joke, buy three off them each on will be a different size....

It's an adjustable 1 but it won't line up it's a good 10mm out of alignment possibly more when I actually fit it terrifirma/all makes are adamant that is the correct 1 for my car and the sizes are all correct so I can only assume I have something bent on my car or it's something to do with what's been put on from factory

The other end is a fixed point on the chassis.
If you have weight on the vehicle/or not(with a lift) it will move the axle to 1 side or the other.
Jack it up and you may find the holes will lineup, If not a little strap will get it, or put it on its wheels with weight.

Its not about what gap you can get. is the minimum length right? As per their specs?
Have you now tried to offer up the old 1?

Here is a test for you….
With the panard rod removed push the body work.. it should move

Thats all you need to do to get the rod back into the hole( with the engine running move the steering till the hole lines up)
