Hi all.
I'm slowly working through my 109 series 3 ex-mod. Cleaning and painting.
I have done most of it now with a matt NATO green BS285 from a company called britanic.
It is the worst paint I have ever come across. The finish looks OK but it scratches as soon as you touch it with a cloth and leaves a chalky white residue on brushing past hedges and trees etc. What a waste of time and money. So with that to be said...
Does anyone know where I can find a decent and hardwearing satin or matt finish in NATO BS285 green?
Let me know any recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
Paul.

Trade Paints matt is what I got, it covers well and so far has resisted jet wash and an 1100 mile trip around Ireland, rollered it on. I dont brush many hedges with the van so can't say.

Proper NATO stuff has a special undercoat that is radar reflective ...

Um, I could be in favour of the septics painting their planes with it, but I'd rather our lot chose the non-reflective.....

We do, but we did paint them with the 'shine to blind', burnt out a few radar receivers too ...
