Good evening all.

I'm doing some small work on my Series III and since I took the engine out, I want to paint it.
The colour should be Duck Egg Blue (according to the internets) but what kind of paint should I order ? I was told (at the paint shop) that I should get a primer and paint and varnish ? I never heard of such a paint scheme for an engine. If I got into an auto paint shop what should I ask for, since it's paint for an engine ?

Also, I bought two liters of paint to use after some body repairs and it cost me 120€!!! How much does two liters (0,44 gallons) cost in England ? And, once again, if you went into a paint shop, how would you order paint for a Series ?

Thanks for any help.

Cus you'd be driving down with a car trailer to retrieve it??? ;)

most car parts suppliers sell engine paint.

Yes, that's what I would expect :) Seriously, from what I read around here, you guys in England have it much easier to get parts and auto related stuff.
So, if I went into a paint shop and asked for "Engine Enamel" I would get the right stuff ?

And what should I ask for, to use in the body ?

I've got some new (paddocks) doors for my series, what would anyone recommend to keep the tin worm away? I imagine paint..more = better!
