Hi,
This is my second post and second problem. I own a 1999 P38 US spec in Panama but it will not start:mad:. A few things first:
1) Battery is good and charged.:)
2) I just replaced the radiator & fan and fan clutch.:)
3) Replaced exhaust as both the baffles and fiberglass blocked the outlet.:)
It used to start splutter and switch off, now it goes through the mentions but will not start at all, what could it be?
Thanks,
Roland

Small update, fuel is getting to the injectors and their is spark but still no go. What have I missed? Do I need to rebuild the engine?

Is the Spark a nice big fat one??

Best way to check is to remove a plug and using a LARGE PAIR OF INSULATED PLIERS Hold it against the top of the engine on the plenum chanber so the plug is earthed properly and get an assistant to turn it over a couple of times....(Becareful of petrol vapour coming from the open spark plug hole, so only do this once as if you do it too many times, there will be too much fuel around)

The spark should be big and blue, a small yellow spark may not be energetic enough to ignite the fuel.

If this is so, the Coil packs are on their way out.

If you are still getting a strong spark, and plenty of fuel, then there is only really three further problems -

No air (Check for split induction pipes, check MAF, check air filter)
Poor timing - Engine ECU needs checking
Lack of Compression - Do a compression check on all 8 pots.

I trust you have discounted the immobiliser as you seem to have fuel.....are all the plug soaking in fuel and wet after you try to start??
