i have a oil leak at the rear of the engine any idea is it a engine out job as i cant see anything on the top

Can you be more specific? Could be the valley gasket

Rear crank seal maybe?
Not sure if you can get at it from gearbox side, probably easier pull engine

Valley gasket would be in situ

Try get in there see where exactly first
