Hi to all

i am new to Range Rover P38 and i love this machine despite its issues.

1. I got an issue trying to connect the cable to the software easunlock. I cannot get a syn to the Eas, but if i remove the eas relay below the lh drive seat and conect again while running the program it gets the conection. Does any one got a similar problem?

2. I dont have any leaks but when i stop the car, and after a while if i took for a drive in the begining it gives me the light that is in the higher position.

i read in this fórum this help:”VEHICLE JUMPS TO WADE HEIGHT

Check white plug behind passenger foot well L/H panel for corrosion dampness. This is the connector from height selector switch to ECU. Also remove delayrelay and inspect for dry solder joints.”

can someone explain in diferent words.

thanks for your help

best regards to all

Check behind the kick panel on the passenger side.

Check Wammers How To. Take the connector out and solder it.

Hi

You mean in a left/hand drive passenger side the OBD conection? Or something else?
Can i aks if you got a picture?

thanks

Behind the plastic panel in the left had side footwell at the base of the A post, there are 2 white connectors. They suffer from corrosion causing strange height changes. The fix is to cut and solder the wires one at a time insulating with heat shrink tube thus eliminating the connector. The big connector is the important one.
Do you get the "Slow 55Kph" message when it jumps to wade height?
It is possible to get a false sync on the EAS software. Corrosion problems with the OBD connector are sometimes a problem. If you are using a USB to serial adaptor, if it was plugged in before loading the driver, the EAS software will not communicate correctly. If your computer uses Vista, that can also be a problem.

Something else. Look at bottom of passenger "A" post or if you want different terms inside bottom of passenger door hinge post. Remove trim panel and plugs are behind that. There are a couple to find the one you need you will need RAVE wiring diagrams for wire colours. If you don't have RAVE download it. Or of course you could do both plugs.

Thanks

Tonight i will double check and i will inform you. And i will take pictures and put in the right place.

No, behind trim panel at base of left hand "A" post. If yours is left hand drive panel near your left foot at base of door post. Look for connector C0467 C0469 on connector location views. Page Z 5.

Hi wammers

I found the conector. Here is the photo of it. Do you think it's better to solder?
The EASUnlock software still got bad conection. I got to take out the relay and pulg in and i got conection. after that i cannot select the tab "heights", this gets me out of connection.

I think i have the batery of the car with under voltage, it need to be replaced. Do you think it can be related?

thanks

Yes cut connectors out and solder. Maybe you need to look at back of OBDII socket. Make sure fuse 33, 5 amp is sound in engine bay fuse box.

Remove & solder wires on both connectors. They are only there for factory loom assembly.
