Has anyone on here had success with replacing the buttons in their keyfobs, mine the lock button works and lights the led up but the unlock one doesn't, I only have the one key and don't want to unsolder them and than use fleabay ones if they are a load of junk and end up with a massive main stealer bill if I can possibly help it any advice welcome

Mr Sporty will return your key very quickly. Mine was less than a week and worked a treat

Problem is only having the one key in kind of stuffed if I need to send it away, hoping to repair it and get a clone of it to keep as a spare when it's done
Mrsporty repaired my spare and it was back in 4 days and that over a bank holiday too. It s is still working fine several years down the line. Ooops shouldn't have said that should I:eek:

Thank you guys for the replies have found his website and I am going to get in touch with him on another note I think I have found a new name for my p38 now (THE LEMON) as every week some form of expensive or complicated disaster happens ‍

I've tried to be nice about it on several occasions but it doesn't seem to make a difference lol, it's more temperamental than I am before I have had my morning coffee o_O

If you only have one key then I would bite the bullet and pay the main dealer for a new one. You'll need the key number off the back of the current one. If the sticker has peeled off you can work out if it is 1 or 2 if you have memory seats.

I did speak to main stealer yesterday they said 215 +vat and they also seemed to think I would have to take it there and have it synced too at an extra cost again. I do have a small 002 then a six digit number on the sticker in my key internals so I'm assuming that I have key 2 if that's how it's done by them?

Don't need stealer to sync a key fob

Even without that the main stealer price is still rather a lot think I might just bike it to work for a week and hope I can get it repaired
215 plus vat is not a bad price. Some places are a lot more. At the least make sure your EKA code works and get a spare blade cut for emergencies

I think I will get a blade sorted and send mine away if no joy then go down the main stealer route if all else fails

Personally I would say 2 working fobs is the best option, plus it does give you extra bargaining power if you ever come to sell
