Hi, bought my first Range Rover a few weeks back, In the log book it states 4.6 Limited Edition.....does this mean it's a vogue or maybe something more special?

Cheers.

its a ltd edition if it were a vogue it'd say its a vogue, ltd usually means its had a few extras to get rid of it :D

:DGive your local dealer a ring with your Vin number and your registration and get them to look it up on the main database to see what it left the factory with to make it a Limited Edition also there has been cases of dealers adding stuff themselves and then seling them as Limited Edition's.

:confused:What badges has it got on it (diferant from the norm)

Contacted the dealer who said its a Limited Edition. It has no badging on the rear at all.

It has cream leather piped in green, wallnut everywhere, and the walnut/cream leather steering wheel. Also has walnut picnic tables on the back of the front seats.

Its paint code 617 British Racing Green, dunno if thats rare or not.

Cheers.

yep it's fair to say this isnt common, British Racing Green was not a standard green offered and the picnic tables at the back were not standard on the Vogue either. Could have been an Autobiography oredered by a punter who then cancelled as these are built per order so may be considered hard to sell on by the dealer if the original buyer pulls out.

the autobiography models had a plate fitted with a production number on it, least mine did anyway.

First Autobiography didn't have any extra plates to distinguish them as autobiography. Mine hasn't got. Yes, most have, but not all. This was due to different procedures within the Company when building Autobiography models.

Yes, but people read these old comments. Hence your rather pinching reply. And if somebody posted a load of bs 10 years ago, there's no harm in putting things right. Unless, of course, people want to stay ignorant or misinformed.

Assuming that you are right of course.

You will never be as sure, as I am. Unless you cross reference your knowledge with mine, quote the sources

Let's say, that with knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years since I bought my first P38, I do believe that I am right. And so do a good number of people I helped.

I wouldn't know, I leave the bling to others.

Blessed those who, having nothing to say, keep their mouths shut.
To you, it might be bling. To me, it's sharing knowledge. Since your replies were nothing more than a crude trolling, I consider this conversation as concluded. Unless, of course, you have a problem with p38a or fl and want to ask about it. For your other problems, you will find different specialists. Just call your gp first. Have a nice life. One life. Live it.

You mare a bit lippy for a newby, when your EAS gives trouble, don't ask me. You have no track record on this site, you may or may not actually have P38 knowledge, time will tell.

Most/all Autobiography models had an "individual" identification plaque under the bonnet.

Demoting the "colour code" and "contact number"

The First "Autobiography" was trialed in the 1992MY for the RRC..

Having had a quick read of our new member's posts, it seems we are lucky to have such a knowledgeable Range Rover owner amongst us. His enthusiasm for learning all there is to now about the vehicle is to be admired. I have no idea why anyone who hasn't educated themselves to such a degree, on the Range Rover , would think to correct him :D

Welcome to the forum...I've personally experienced selfless, very knowledgeable help and advice from the guys on here. After being a member of several LR fora, I believe you've now joined the best one on't internet!
My spidey senses detect that you've discovered already that the thickness of New Members skin is frequently tested at early stages....I'm sure no out and out offence is intended, but don't hold back if you believe you're being "got at"! :)
