Afternoon All, does anyone have any contact details for someone who could repair a key fob for a P38 please. The open function button is requiring a lot of pressure to operate.
Thanks in advance

Hi it's not the surface button that's the problem, unfortunately, I've got a couple of those. It's the one on the circuit board. Need to press on it hard for anything to happen. Thanks for replying though.

I bet you can fix it by putting a thin bit of plastic (or something like that) between the switch and the button, ??

I've gone as far as removing the flexible plastic buttons and pressing it with an probe.. no difference it's looking like it's in need of tlc

It could be just crap, get some electrical spray, and use that, the pressure might clear it, and the spray will clean and lube it a little

Need to replace the microswitch then unfortunately.

Not sure who repairs them but anyone with a bit of skill and a soldering iron should be able to.

Some of the guys have used Mrsporty member on here does them, few members have used him and seems good. send him PM not seen him around but will probably answer a PM.

J

Autotronics repaired mine, £38.00 there’s probably cheaper if you hunt around

I've just had mine repaired by Second remote repairs on the Bay same fault as yours and a new case for £25.99. Happy so far, just the long wait thanks to Royal Mail.

Thanks all, I'll get it sent away for repairs.
Just phoned our local dealer to buy a replacement £256 plus vat. And it comes uncoded. Has to be coded by a local landie specialist and they don't always work.. madness

Apparently they have to sent it off to the Germans to get it coded
