I have had my 2000 Dhse for 3 years. Never used the heated seats, but tried them the other day and they don't work. Switches don't light up either. So looked further. Then noticed that the the heated rear and front screen individual switches which are located in the same area (bottm of the central console) don't work or light up either - but the heated screens do work from the "overall" demist switch which I use regularly. Had a quick look yesterday but gave up because I was cold (ahhh). Fuses are ok. Tried to get the side cover off the central console to see the cables, but after removing two screws couldn't shift the cover. Anybody tell me which way to unclip it (assuming it is clipped) and if I do remove it will I see the wires?
Or any other ideas. All the switches feel a bit "soft" with no definite click, but they can't all be bunged up not making a good connection can they? Can I get the switches out without taking the console apart? Any advice would be appreciated.

i think if you take the radio out you can get to em but its not too hard to remove the console. its also worth checking the seats with a multimeter in the plugs under the seat and test for continuity of the seat elements. have a look here for tips and method of repair Heated Seat Repair Operations
