HELP Does anyone know where I can obtain a 2nd hand gear selector switch for a 1997 P38 2.5 dse.

I am in the kent/london borders but local Range Rover breaker (LRR) hasn't got one. Its £250 new +vat. I am about 90% sure mine is defective but dont want to spend £300 just in case I am wrong! prepared to spend £30 or so for a 2nd hand just in case!

Thanks for the overwhelming response to this and my last post, have had to spend £295 at main stealer for part and luckily I can now select gears and drive it

Why am I the only one to receive "0" replies, Is it something I said???

Don't take it to heart, a forum is not like a conversation, nobody posts 'Nope, can't help' out of politeness. If you have a query that people can help with (and hasn't been posted in the previous ten minutes!) they'll reply.

The older, or should I say senior, members always get a response as coming on here is like dropping into the pub for a moan with a few mates for them (might even include myself with that sad bunch - theres even a **** taking sub-forum!
