Can anybody direct me to a web site that sells the electrical plugs used on Range Rovers. Specifically the female connector used on the reversing/rear fog light cluster, which on mine the reversing light blade has overheated at some point and doesn't connect reliably.
So rather than fork out for a complete tailgate loom, I was rather hoping that someone would know, a vendor and/or where a replacement connector could be obtained.
Any thoughts?

Thanks, Ian

Get one from a breakers with a short length of cable attached then solder the wires together with heat shrink tubing over the joint afterwards

Hi Irishrover, thanks for the idea, but I'm in France at the moment and there aren't many, if any, Range Rovers in the very few breakers around here!
I have seen a complete loom on Ebay for around £45, but that is rather over the top for one connector!
Any other thoughts, as the lamp holders look very similar to those used on other cars, i.e. galvanised 'fingers'. But it is the spacing and locking catch that makes them unique to that car.

Just the plug and a bit of wire attached will only cost you a couple of quid. As a temporary "Fix" can you not use standard crimp terminals fitted to the wires after you have cut the plug off ?
I doubt very much if you can buy a new connector as there are so many variations and the harness manufacturers buy them in from the likes of AMP or Molex. Added to that is the fact that the harnesses have to be almost obsolete and looking at the EPC, the plugs are not available separately. Joe in Colne (Do a search on the forum) would have one and his prices are good, I am sure he would post to France if asked and accepts Paypal.
