Do I have a turbo problem? have noticed over past few days when accelerating and especially going uphill a slight loss in power and a sound like air under pressure escaping coming from the turbo. Could it be wastegate problems. All hoses were changed last year and nice and tight. Is it worth using a turbo cleaning spray in case of crap build up. All advice gratefully received Thank you

I think nano can read boost?
Plugged hawkeye in that reads boost. Nanocom with Shaun. At tick over got .89 bar on atmospheric and same on boost, took up to 3500 revs and got1.005 bar. Sure thats a bit low, thought should be around 1.5 bar.

Little holes in intercooler made that noise with me. Showed up when I filled it up with petrol and soaked it. Weren’t big either just little weeping bits

Wastegate can get cruded up
Intercooler was new 10 years ago, don't know life span of them.
Wondering about wastegate crudded up as have known that to happen before on other vehicles

I'll have to check but I think 1 bar over atmospheric is correct.

Well bought a can of Wynnes EGR and turbo cleaner and sprayed it in inlet pipe to the turbo. Took my time nice and steady. Wow took it for a spin and the difference is very noticeable. Quieter, more powerful overall a lot lot better. I am pleasantly surprised but very happy with the outcome.
