I recently bought a RR p38 on coils and I have noticed its easy to bottom the front end out I have had a look at the springs and they look verry worn so I was just wondering if any one knows what springs the kit uses as I dont want to buy a compleate kit I presume the springs are off another landrover

Yea
get it back on air bags, coil springs were never going to be right on the p38
Loads of p38s been broke for parts and more than enough info on heer should you need it

Its had so many problems in the past according to all the paper work would rather keep it simple if I can

Simple but dangerous unless properly done.
Put it back on eas, the system designed for it.
If you insist on springs then speak to one of the kit suppliers. You'll just start another airbag/coils argument on here.

springs if lr are colour coded ,but both britpart and bearmach do springs for conversion bp been better springs imo ,if you have trouble i could speak to bp for you as i have trade account ,hd std height would give good handling

EAS is the only proper suspension for the p38a , it was designed for the vehicle and is a great bit of kit if maintained.

My newly purchased westminster has a spring conversion on her it seems ok rides ok ...ok miss the way she lowers at motorway speeds but at the moment all is well .. But to add to the debate of should i or should we not i do beleve these conversions where done with plenty of testing done and yes I've seen the results of poorly fitted or botched job conversions ..but considering some of the kits are very expensive I would think its as good as its going to be ... But for me iam putting her back on air seems a set of bags and height sensors is all iam missing ... Then I ll sell me kit cash win me thinks

I no a chap braking a p38 (over heating problems) air bags are all pukka tho ;)

Tbh mate if you made him an offer then I'm sure he wouldn't turn it down! It's the guy I got me roof bars off today! He is sound and is scrapping the car so whatever cash he can make then he's happy bunny
