I'm trying to get behind the plastic cover/panel in the drivers side footwell where the bonnet release catch is housed ( I think I have a bad earth in the leccies behind it) : I'm struggling to get the panel off and don't want to damage it by forcing it.
Anybody had that off ? Advice ?

It’s a screw and a metal clip over plastic tang off the top off my head. I find it’s easier to twist it from the top.

Thanks Joss : I've managed to free the metal clips but haven't yet managed to completely remove the cover. I'll try twisting from the top as you suggest.

Pull the door trim out at the bottom first. . . it holds the front edge of the panel in place. Also remove the horizontal panel that holds the footwell light to make access easier. There might be a cover over the screw which is in the middle of the panel. Should be a pozidrive.

RAVE shows the door trim pulled back & screw location. Ignore step 14.

That panel is a very tight fit, when i took mine of i found it easier to also pull the th bonnet realeas at the same time.

Went out this morning to remove mine for you. Door rubber pulled back. I had to remove the lower dash panel to access the footwell light panel as mine has screws covered by that panel too. Then it pops out once you’ve taken the screw out.
