I've had erratic trigger problems with the alarm on my p38 and it seems more consistently to be giving me RH door messages. It doesn't always immobilise the truck but this morning it did - so MSV2 was needed to rewrite the BECM with the Motronic Code!

Is there a view that this is something that could be fixed by changing out the drivers door latch mechanism?

Other points for consideration

1) I have the latest RF receiver though the vehicle still appears to be place sensitive (i.e. parking by certain houses seems to result in the alarm trigger)- has anyone else found this?

2) I have tried setting the alarm disable using my MSV2 though this is not a guarantee the alarm won't go off

3) I have had the BBUS Klaxon disabled - but left the setting in the BECM at BBUS ... nevertheless on one occasion - parked in a "sensitive spot" (in the sun) the alarm triggered on the horn!!! (Checking the BECM afterwards it was still set to BBUS!!)

4) Despite this sounding like a nightmare I can go several weeks after an incident with no problems

Any thoughts or shared experiences would be appreciated

I had the same problem, but mine was with the bonnet trigger, puzzled me for ages, so in end i just sent the becm off to callrova and got the alarm disabled! Sam

Update for those interested.

Problem remains erratic - and I'm still not convinced that the vehicle isn't responding to maverick wifi signals as it seems to be more prone to greet me with a flat battery when parked in specific locations.

I also had a "ignition tamper" note the other day - but the battery was still OK (just starting to wane!)

At least the klaxon doesn't sound.
I think it might be something like a door sensor (I remain of the opinion that it's still too early to conclude this needs a BECM replacement) ... I guess I'd be interested in understanding which specific sensor triggers the specific alarm notification messages (is this perhaps buried somewhere in RAVE?). Otherwise I just work on the basis that disabling the alarm (which I can do with the MSV Extreme) is an option ... though as that seems to disable the lock indicator flash it's a different type of mild frustration.

I'd be disconnecting the blue aerial wire for starters - stop the drain thru RF unit. Next try outstation on drivers door, two microswitches may be playing up?

This is the exact same problem I am experiencing, blue wire disconnected and it is not going off as often but still when it does, its drivers door and twice ignition of which it resets itself!
