Hello,
Thank you to all you mad crazy people like me who for some reason like the P38 RR. This is for helping me with the normal everyday faults that my P38 on board computer likes telling me to wind me up!!!!!!

Just another quick couple of things,

The alarm fault message appears when I put my ignition key in and then it clears, ok for a day and then comes back. I deadlock it and occasionaly it double bleeps and the other time it's OK.
I have tried the normal things sitting my wife inside and then setting the alarm. The alarm does not go off. i have disconnected checked connections on the sensor etc still makes no difference.
Any more idea's????

My blend motor on the left hand side is playing up. It blows cold one day and another day it blows hot.
I have done the normal checks, the directional buttons work fine and the drivers side works as it should. So its definately the passenger side one.
Is it simply remove the glove box and side panel and the blend motor is there to be changed?

I know it's a little war and peace please help!!!!!!!!

Very common cause of the alarm fault message, especially when inserting the key and switching on the ignition is the ultrsonic unit located above the l.h. centre pillar on the headlining.

what should you do then- remove it or replace it? is there a fix for it?

As far as I know they are non serviceable. Do you know anyone with a P38 that can let you do a swap with theirs to confirm possible fault before shelling out around £90+ for a new one. They are on egay regularly for around £40 (Used). The car will still work normally and the peripheral detection and immobilisation will still work as normal.

I am in NW London, not sure if anyone else on the forum is close by for me to test this. I wonder if it left it- will it do any harm? But I will keep my eyes open for a replacement- how can I be 100% sure it is exactly that sensor that is fecked?
Anyone know the part number for this?

Part no. YWC 103640 LUM.
Also have a look on Ebay Item 32009549293. According to the seller you can send it back for a full refund if not satisfied and its new.
