I don't know the gems engine so not sure where you mean, but it's broken, could you tap a thread to new screw connector in and connect the rubber hose to that?
Might be worth a look on the Bay first just to see what price they are. It'll have a lot of vibration so will probably need welding if it won't take a thread.
A photo would help,if its small diameter pipe you could probably replace it,I had to do one on the E type and got the replacement from Barrats if memory serves.
