I have a 97 P38 4.0 SE is a good one FSH and one very careful owner who maintained it well at same garage for 17 years . i have done 10k in it and all good on the mech front but recently had a little fluid leak which was cured with some additive but am I advised to change the Rad just in case or am I being paranoid about overheating probs .

as far as I know it never has overheated but has done 159k on same running gear so rad might be getting blocked right ?

If you put RADWELD or such like in it you are asking for trouble, the radiator cores are very fine and easily blocked.

First thing i did when i got mine on 100k was change the rad, waterpump (metal impeller) & coolant. It had a very slight leak from the rad that was hard to find.
+1 on the additive (kseal?). This will block your rad & matrix sooner or later.

Oh dang yes was k seal that was bad advice I was given from someone in trade then doh !! Not sure where leak was it was very small hence k seal ! Ok think new rad and flush out is order of the day then

Thanks for the advice

As above....flush out the cooling system, fix the leak correctly and never use leak stopper additives....
