Ive got a mate whos just bought a rangy 3.9 efi on a c plate. hes said the temp gauge is reading 3/4 after about 2 miles. now i know these v8's run a bit warm but what is the normal operating temp range for this. its not useing any water. could it be a air lock some where in the system or thermostat.
what are your thoughts !!

a new stat is the first thing to do.
flush/clean out the rad is the next item.
could be just a partial blockage anywhere in the system.

of course the gauge could be just plain bonkers?

CHEERS ormas, any one recommend liver salts.

that'll be a job for me then this weekend, hes bloody hopeless at anything like that.
