Stacked it

Done it – Munich to Garda over the Alps. No problems, fuel consumption was acceptable and no new noises.
Initially it was pretty OK with only the occasional hairpin and step climb. But we decided to go over the Timmelsjoch which ascends to 2500m
It was some of the hardest driving I have done – and I use to drive knackered 8 wheelers for a living. Coming down was worse than going up as I am not a fan of 1965 braking technology so it was brake a bit, then the double-de clutch river dance and in to second for the bends. To make matters worse it was kin foggy and with the IIa’s lights on I could see about 30 cms.
Drove down in two days, staying the night at the hut on the Timmelsjoch for a few beers and a schnitzel before heading to Lake Garda the following morning via another pass which I can’t remember the name of.
Returned in one day which was very tiring. The motor was running no stop for 7 hours. But Solihull’s finest did not miss a beat.
The plan was to off road a bit but I could not find out about any official tracks in time so we stuck to road.
Well worth it and for those that question the reliability of your Series, don’t! Just get your self a maunual and a few basic tools and these things will keep going on and on and on.

I know, good call, but I only have three photo's and they are all pants. Sorry. The small one in the attached is taken from the summet if thats any help.
I could lie across the bonnet for you in one of my missus' bikini's and take a few pictures of that, if you like, but I will have to warn you - the Landy will look a lot better.

P.S, any idea how to URL my photos?
