Hi. Just wondering what the original wheel size will have been on my W reg, 2000, 4.6 Vogue please? Many thanks.

Thanks for the prompt response Kermit! Runs on 19' currently and I'm going to revert to original wheel size and some chunky tyres for a bit of proper off-road fun!
Cheers.
Mike.

In the past, I averaged 80k+ miles annually, now doing about 12k. So, instead of selling my A8, I'm keeping that AND swapping P38 current 19" for 16's wearing Insa Turbos., 265x75x16.

that size will give you an extra 4mph at an indicated 50mph

19"s look a lot better on the car than 16"s. Have 19"s on P38 and 20"s on L322. P38 is better balanced on 19"s. Providing all steering is up to scratch they give a lovely drive. But taking speed bumps at any speed is a bit harsh. Speed bumps should be banned.

Thanks Tony. I'll have to be especially careful when NOT off road. Mostly just driving 1.5 miles to and from to the Barge these days, but that's vital information.

Well technically it won't be illegal, only on cars 2001 and on was the no indicated speed below actual brought in. So at 50 MPH you should be allowed 50 plus 10% . So 55 at indicated 50. But jobs worths with speed guns don't know that and will do you for 1 MPH over the limit. Bloody idiots.

I was booked at 34mph in 30 zone, but got on a Speed Awareness Course instead of points thankfully. I'm now mindful to engage speed limiter whenever possible, but that's currently out of service on P38. Memo to self: GET IT FIXED!!!

Vehicles made prior to 2001 are allowed plus or minus 10% at an indicated 30MPH. So you can at indicated 30 be doing from 27 to 33 MPH. The 10% is pro rata to all other limits. Speed cameras are set at 30 MPH plus 10% plus 2 MPH. So with a pre 2001 car in a 30 zone you can be doing 35 MPH at an indicated 30 quite legally. But as a famous person said "Not a lot of people know that" so the coppers get away with it. In particular jobs worths with speed guns. How can they enforce the law when they don't know what it is.
