Hi

Having a few problems with my 2002 (52') TD4 with 71000 on the clock.

It started when coming back down the A30 to Cornwall from Exeter. When I went up hill the orange engine warning light would come on and the power would drop of a bit, but not by a huge amount. Then when I got back on the flat or down hill. It would return to normal.

If anyone has some suggestions as where to start I would appreciate it.

Thanks

John

Mine did that when the fuel pump started to play up, next stage is for it to fail completely but a tap will get it going for a while again!

Later TD4s have one fuel pump by the drivers side rear arch, yours might be the earlier type with one pump in the tank and a further one in the engine bay.
