I'm going absolutly mad...any help will be much appreciated.

I have a freelander 1.8l GS 2001 model. Using the remote, the alarm operate normally but when I physically open the drivers door, all the doors lock and the alarm activates. Same happens when I close the drivers door.

Used to happe now and again but now it is every time.

Is there an easy fix or how can I disactivate the drivers door switch or is there a way to disactivate the alarm yet keep the central locking active. Any one of the above will work for me.

Mine was doing all sorts of weird crap then I replaced the battery in the key fob. Works fine now.

check the wiring hasn't chafed into door or it is the solenoid/lock mechanism by the sound of it
