Hi Guys

Well It had to happen didn't it, off roading on Sunday at Whitworth and either me or me daughter or me doris twanged the rear steering arm on a rock and bent it a good 60 degrees, both front wheels toeing out like Marty Feldmans eyes.

Limped back to carpark where thankfully two guys a bobtail rangey and a winch managed to winch it back into well almost straight but good enough to get me back to Southport, cheers Tom and Hulk!

Now the question is where can I get "cheap" heavy duty steering arms from with ball joints on and secondly how easy are they to fit? The Haynes thing says 4 spanners but I don't believe that !

And lastly anyone know where I can get one of those dan bar thingies that protects the rear arm/damper.

Cheers ............

I take you mean the track rod, if so try Haddocks an Co, they do the whole thing ball joints included or just the track rod if yer ball joints are OK. It's a piece if **** to do if you can get yer ball joints out of their holes!!! get a ball joint separator from machine mart there a bit naff but will do the job. Then you have to set yer wheel alignment you can do it with a tape measure but fer piece of mind get it checked at a garage.

Check the 'spamming basitds' section in anything goes ;)

one for parts one for protection :D

I bent mine last year

I ordered the HD steering rods from paddocks, you'll need to know how many track rod ends are on the existing rods.
