Hello all, my name is Jason. I am Canadian and currently studying engineering here in the UK. I have been on the hunt for a Land Rover for close to 10 years now, though I got sidetracked on a International Scout project for a few years. (I will post a picture for those not familiar with the Scout) However, since I am here I have decided to get serious about it and so I am "on the hunt". With a family planned in the not too distant future, I have moved on from a 88 to a 109 and over the last few years become attached to the notion of a Dormobile. My dear wife has actually given her blessing to this endeavour as long as the Scout goes and the new unit is usable and not a big project. So I am turning to the Landy community to point me in the right direction. I have read all I can find on the net but it seems that the Dormies are exceedingly rare. I missed the one in the green pages of LRM and the only other two I see are two very nice but very expensive Series III's. I would prefer a SIIA because of the (relative) ease of switching to LHD. (I was quoted £3000 for the switch on a SIII) I had considered converting a 110 but I can't swallow £2000 for a set of seats in addition to the top, bunks and cabinets. (Plus I am partial to the old ones despite their drawbacks) If any one has a Dormobile that they are willing to part with or knows of someone who does I would appreciate any help that I can get.
