A 1999 Freelander 1.8 Petrol.

I've never changed a clutch on my own, but helped on a few in the past on small cars.

I don't have a garage with ramps, so I'll be relying on small ramps and jacks etc.

I'm ok with tools and can follow instructions easy enough, but don't have thousands of tools so any specialist ones needed may not be here.
Any chance?

A Freelander 1.8 rates about 6 on your 1 to 10 scale for me but I've done loads of clutchs in loads of different vehicles. It's long winded but not particularly difficult.

Great! Thanks. I have plenty of time, but not a lot of cash.

I was thinking, instead of paying someone £200 or whatever to change it. I'd spend the cash on the right tools for the job.

Can you point me in the right direction? I have a full Halfords Professional set, but nothing really specialised. Anything you can think of that would make the jobs a lot easier for myself?

Easy bleeding system.
Brake spanners.
Good hydraulic highlift trolley jack.

Christ there's so many different alignment tools.
Sorry to be a pain in the arse but do any of these look sensible to you?

I typed clutch change 1.8 in the search but cant find anything really. Any ideas?

Alignment tool: Sealey Clutch Alignment Tool Universal Clutch Alignment Tool/Equipment | eBay

K-Series clutch hydraulics are sealed, so don't need to bleed them. Also dont need brake pipe spanners for the same reason

A good high lift jack is essential. I have one of these myself: Halfords | Halfords 2.5 Tonne Speedy Lift 4x4 Trolley Jack

I have a trade card, so I never paid that much for it. Almost half in fact

Hardest part is probably lifting the gearbox in and out, unless you have a spare pair of hands
