Any ideas how to remove the grey deposit/residue left on the head from a new type MLS gasket ? I am guessing that it's the stuff that glues the shim to the head. It's being done as part of a valve replacement due to a slipped belt so no need to skim the head.
i bought granville gasket remover in an aerosol, brilliant, spray on, walk away, have a cup of tea, walk back and wipe, wash everything off, cleans off all the carbon in the combustion chambers too, fantastic, no scraping!
