Hi...new to Land Rovers and new to the forum. My previous was a Jeep Grand Cherokee...now wanted to get down and dirty with a Disco! I have a 98, Tdi ES, automatic. Drives okay, but has a groan when I turn the steering, and does smoke when accelerating hard......question is, do i need to get worried.

My 90 did that, it turned out to be the underneath of the steering wheel boss rubbing on the top of the steering column.
