The Short answer - whatever it says in the book.
Generally, the LR V8's use good old standard 20w50.
I usually find this best value in "Duckhams"
But look around - and remember you will need two cans for an oil and filter change......
Oh - and do spend the extra and get a genuine oil filter - I have found that the cheap ones seem to allow oil to drain back, and the oil pressure takes forever to come up in the morning.
Don't try and use anything else - everyone who has used fancy synthetics has had trouble with oil leaks. If you use a synthetic oil - use the same grade - 20w50.
