Probably a bit on the thin side, should work but you may find the engine is noisier and will be more prone to oil leaks. Also cost will be much more than what you need to spend for no benefit
Not really,could cause more problems for the engine,use a decent quality oil,change it regularly,depending on your driving style.10w40 is recommended.
Just looked it up,on various oil company sites,10w40 is the one you need.Or if a high mileage engine,15w40 might be better.
They are always upgrading the recommendations, basically trying to sell what they make now, works for them. Most of those oils didn't exist when your vehicle was designed. Try looking in the owners book that came with your motor, if you have it. That will suggest the oils that the makers intended at the time.
