anyone got a part number/spec for correct sender for early rrc gauge??OR INFO ON WHY??

mine is reading in reverse!!its wired up correctly..has i think correct sender, (and i just bought a brand new smiths sender, still the same)

when i mean reverse..it does this...ign on reads 60psi (full scale), start engine and reads 40 ish. rev reads 0-10psi!!
its reading in reverse!..tried 2 gauges and 2 senders..wiring IS correct..

baffled..want to keep oe gauge, but getting bored now of it!(feel mechanical one is soon to be aquired, unless can sort it!
 
think I've got one in shed and maybe a gauge too. will have a look in a bit.
used. don't know if they work but you can have them if they're there.

cant find a new 60psi gauge anywhere..100psi everywhere, but its a rv8...not like sally which pegs the 100psi !!
 
got the matching senders, ??cos thats where i think i gone wrong...i have 2 of each gauges, but i thinks wrong senders for dem...
 
thats just it ..i dont lnow for sure...i thought i had 2...but both read backwards..ie 60psi when engine off ign on, 10psi engine running..

i cant afford to spend that much on a sender though..i can buy a complete digital led gauge and sender for £20!..just would have been nice to keep gauges oe..but ..
 
true..i got one on sally, but that runs at 100psi when cold..and 80 when hot..

the rv8 does not, and it will always be using just half the scale..really need 60 psi gauge...
 
Pretty sure mine only goes to 80 on the TIM, bit of overkill but it'll probably go onto the Caddy

got another one in bar which I may fit to the rover, goes to 5 which is plenty
