Hey guys I found a small engine oil leak between high pressure pump and oil cooler its coming through the surface of the engine I can’t locate where it comes so is there a weep hole between them first I thought it was the oil cooler but it’s not i have freelander l series(2000)any idea guys?

The oil cooler pipes are known to leak on the L Series.

Are you sure its engine oil? The injection pump doesn't have engine oil going through it - unless I'm mistaken.

It’s only leak when engine on I will put a picture it still morning here

Head gasket has gone around the oil feed to the head. Not a common problem on this engine, but wass common on the O and S series engines, which are a very similar design.

You need to replace the HG.

My mechanic found out that oil coming through a head bolt end (from block side there is a open). So we clean the bolt and sealed with some thread seal then good to go.
