Would appear that my Disco 2 is leaking oil or something. Checked all levels and everything appears to be ok. Was driving round all day yesterday and it was absolutely fine. Oil level does not seem to be dropping but when car is in use there is a trail of what looks like oil behind me on the floor which is a bit embarrassing.

Any one have any ideas on what it could be or what else to check?

Thank you in advance

Sounds like you need to get underneath it and have a look.

Could be from any number of places.

Cheers

worth checking fuel pressure regulator on rear drivers side of head it drips on the bell housing then on to the floor

Thanks for the comments. I have had a look this morning, as soon as the engine is switched on there is a good size fuel leak coming from the rear around the tank area. Now to find exactly where it is coming from

it will be t\one of the hoses theres 4 run from pump/sender unit along the crossmember to filter and chassis leg, often the green pipe, you can check colour at sender unit end there is a repair piece if it is the green

They seek to be. Need to have a closer look. Would appear it's coming from the bottom of the tank. If it was the pipe would this still look like it's coming from the tank? Thank you

does it only leak with ignition on or running or all the time ,the latter would suggest a tank leak or if rammed full a leaky seal on pump/sender unit
