As title. Had several leaks so dropped oil and found sump stripped. So after sorting that removed old filter that looked like it had been leaking. Some black silicone around the seal so last owner obviously thought this also. Had been dripping slowly but after filter and oil change was coming out faster. Tightened it more than hand tight using strap but no change.

Dropped oil again removed filter checked seals all good. Re-fitted and cleaned up around filter mounting. Added Lucas PAS and seal conditioner as slight weep from rear crank seal. Ran it up and after couple minutes slight dribble down filter. Cleaned up and stuffed white rag behind housing. Rag picked up some oil. Looked with torch from above and can see oil pressure switch and oil cooler line and neither seem to be weeping. Could see oil slowly gathering in oil filter outside the seal area.

Runnnig 10w30 which may be thinner than original oil. Can't see where this leak is. No damage to filter housing face so fairly sure it's not the filter but something directly above it. Anybody got any other culprits in this area?

had a oil leek on mine which weeped all over the sump and oil filter which turned out to be the oil pressure sendor. you have to remember that even stood still and not moving the fan can cause oil to be spread around the engine bay.

Yes might still be sensor but can look at it with engine running and can't see anything weeping from it. How did you get the sensor out? Looks like mine is a block connector type not a blade one.

10/30w should be fine although I'd be using 10/40w if I were you.

Got the switch. It comes with a metal washer but no o ring. In other posts have seen it with no washer and an o ring. Does anyone know if it should have both. Have plenty of assorted o rings if it does and am going to try and get the pressure relief valve out to do the ring on that if it ever stops raining.

All done. Went with washer and new o ring behind as washer will hopefully isolate ring from twisting. Popped the coolant hose off the pump to look at the PRV and it was in a poor state. Popped it out and glad I did as O ring was like hard plastic and flush to the piston. I suspect this was the main leak. All back together now and no leak so happy. Thanks for the suggestions.
