Hello,

I have a 2001 discovery 2 4.0i v8 and
It appears I have an oil leak, I noticed a few spots on the floor outside of work when I came to park back in my space after lunch. Looking under my disco this evening it looks like it's coming from the front of the engine and down around the fuel filter kind of area. Any ideas on what it probably is? And best way of tackling the issue.

Any help apreciated

Perfectly normal for a rover to leak. It could be the oil filter, it could be a rocker cover, oil pump etc.
If it's just a few drips, don't worry

Check the oil pressure switch, see the thread on here.

Think that could be a good shout it looks to be coming from that area looking at engine diagrams. Will order one and have it to hand when I service the disco on Saturday.

The later one has a different connector, there is an adaptor cable available for it.

Early ones are single Lucar terminal.
