Hi I'm a newbe and need some help. I have a 2007 freelander 2 with 40k on it and it's got oil leaking out the air intake at top of engine and at bottom at the turbo.it's been a bit lazy at starting with a bit of smoke which clears quickly.Could this be the crankcase filter if so where is it located and is it a DIY job

Hello and turbo seals gone? Try the freelander section.

And expect abuse shortly.

Some oil in the air intake on a turbo diesel is perfectly normal. You need to somehow decide if it's excessive or not!?

We all were once if you introduce yourself it seems to make a difference to the usefulness of the replies strangely!
