Guys, was planning to do a oil change tomorrow on my t-reg 1.8 petrol hippo and wondered if anyone knew how many litres of oil the engine takes to fill from empty?...

O, and also, if anyone have any advice on doing an oil & filter change on the hippo - I've learnt over the last few months of hippo ownership that just about everything on these beasts is more tricky and troublesome than should normally be the case!:p

Reet jetrap. . . .4.5ltrs is yer figure an 1ltre tween high un low on dip stick. . . .git yerself an oil filter an er new sump washer [copper type] on level ground , warm up engine, take orft sump gaurd, put suttable container under drain plug, [have rags un newspaper ready for any spillage] with engine orft[snort] undo plug, un let it all drain, undo oil filter, re place wif new un [smear er smidge er oil round rubber first] do up hand tight un a smidge more, put plug back in wiv new washer, do up wiv spanner till tight , then one forced nip , an thats the techy tourque sorted, pour in 4ltrs , have er fag un cup er tea, check yer level , pour in bit at er time till correct, start engine look for any leaks if all ok put sump gaurd back. . . .job done,,,,un best oh luck:) :) :)
