Whilst waiting for the glow pugs to do their bit, the oil and battery lights have begun staying on. Engine starts fine and all the warning lights extinguish.

But, it is annoying me. Battery is on the weak side, but is being charged. Oil level fine.

Is a new battery likely to resolve this or could there be a bigger issue? Thanks

they should stay on until the engine is started. If they stay on after it starts THAT'S when you have a problem.

if it's facelift those chimes are telling you that systems self check is completed, if it's not facelift you have a blanked(or burnt) warning lamp on something
