There are 2 days a year when the 99 4.6 HSE really earns her keep. When it snows or when it throws it down as heavily as it's forecast this week.
So what a perfect time to throw a wobbly!
Mentioned to the local indy when he put a ticket on her in November that there was a warm start issue....which disappeared the moment he tried to find it.
All fine until last week. Mrs F drove to the local garage (from a cold start) a couple of miles down the road, filled up (ouch!) then turned over but wouldn't fire up.
Back to the indy. Plugged her into the diagnostics and he noticed all the normal parametres were out. System reset and away she went - huzzah! Until this weekend and the same problem returned so back to the indy again. I thought there way be a temp sensor issue (based on nothing more than scanning the forum). She fired up from cold no problem, was left running for 15 minutes ahead of a road test then died the moment the door was opened......I kid you not!
All thoughts very gratefully received but if nothing else, I just wanted to sound off!
Happy Christmas members....and Gawd bless ya!
