 Recently I have started to have an issue with my 2000 Vogue, It seems to have a slightly annoying requirement to head off road. In that, it has a slight pull to the left if I let go of the wheel. I have had the tracking checked but it is no better. What would your suggestions to the issue be, I also have a thudding noise whilst driving as if a tyre has a flat spot but I have had this checked also.

Any insight into this would be appreciated as I don't want to go to a dealer if I resolve the problem myself.

Reading through ALL the threads to try and find answer, I am inclined to think it could be the wheel bearing. Could that be it?

Strange that you should mention the random pulling to the left...my 1998 Rangie does that as well....have you got larger alloy wheels fitted?? Just looking for a possible link!

Any ideas anyone??

Hi.
Mine did that. Its the tracking honest. Took it to a guy here in the Midlands and he's fixed it. It would appear that they different to normal in their set up as you need to set the steering wheel straight, pop a pin in at the s/box, then set the left roadwheel straight and then set the right wheel straght from the left wheel(i think thats the right way round). I had no joy at all with any of the mainstream guy's as they said it was acceptable at three degrees. Anyway it cost £30 and now it doesnt pull at all or sound like it had American movie tyres on every island.

I'm in Dudley in the west Mids if you need to find him.

Cheers, Nick.

i know its not a classic but a classic i owned once had the same problem , a very very slight pull to the left and i tried everything for over 18 mths to sort it but could not get it to stop it, until i fitted a set of gas shockers all round after that it never pulled to the left again and i still cant get my head round why that cured it   .
