Could not agree more - that's one of the first thoughts that struck me; there's no accounting for taste, is there!

What's even more worrying is that the current bid is £5.6K! And....it's had 4 bids!!

The new owner will probably spend that much again on tyres in the first couple of years - as they destroy themselves on the arches.

Just a thought, but will those comedy wheels load up the drive train more than usual? I would have thought that the increase in rolling circumference must increase the load on the transmission?

got to admit I love freelanders but that is bad. why would you spend so much on a 1999 freelander that basically looks the same as a facelift model.

crazy

What a waste, all that money spent to make make it look no better, just looks like it's been loaded up with stick on **** and resprayed a dumb colour for a land rover.

I've just asked him a few things about it :D

Whether any changes to the engine have been made. The 0-60 will be over a minute with the circ. of those wheels.

What hubs he's running that will fit the PCD of genuine range rover wheels

Plus, that ****ing bonnet scoop is terrible. No point to that whatsoever.

I prefer seeing the spare wheel rather than curved corners on the boot that don't fit with the facelifted bumper

And it does genuinely look like those tyres are going to rub up front.

live and let live and all that.

Where's the fun in that? It's as ugly as sin, the guy's obviously a plank & at the end of the day he's left a cruddy K series engine in it. All show, 'till it blows!

How could anyone drive that down a road with anything but embarrasment and utter shame! :D

Ok, so i got a reply off him after i sent him a few questions.

"hi, no history of head gasket, no modified oil rail, had a kit fitted that i had made in germany to allow 22" wheels to fit, px i would need pics and details, be quick though.."

He must love the car as the guys got it as his FB profile pic...

Wouldn't go near it though without the head gasket being done or oil rail. Obviously don't specialise in this type of car or have heard about the problems with K series, else they'd know they'd get more attention if they did the mods (wouldn't be much work for a garage).

OMFG

Just found this on his facebook....

"Neil Harrison they told me 22" wheels would not fit a freelander????? gentlemen, i give you a freelander with 22" wheels....fooking hard work, but they fit...!!!!!"

hahahahahahahahaha

"THE BASE CAR AND THE PARTS ALONE, WITHOUT ANY LABOUR ARE £5,500...."

so I'm sure he'll be well chuffed to have made £5600 for it on ebay !
