quote=cavking]hi having recently fitted new front discs, callipers & pads every thing was fine for a couple of months, now when braking my disco pulls violently to the off side. having checked discs for rust patches to elliminate sticking caliper pistons, none visible.
the rear calipers & pads were replaced at the same time by the way. the tyres are BFG 235 70 16 with loads of tread and pressures are correct,
both swivel bearings have been replaced 12 months ago and were correctly pre-loaded. please any suggestions running out of ideas and pennies:)

shocker, wheel bearing, weak hose......... if i think of anything else i'll add it later

if its pulling violently then it must be a brake problem. none of the rest would give such a reaction. check the front calipers again. unlikely to be the rear ones.
maybe one of the dual brake lines is duff, and youve only got a single line working properly. im not sure how the disco dual system is configured so cant really suggest anything else apart from the master cyl perhaps?

(vehicles use a few different systems).

ive had such an issue where there was restristed flow of fluid to the caliper, faulty flexi hose,

if your car pulls to drivers side when braking then you may have a weak n/s brake, try bleeding both front calipers and see if the n/s one is difficult/hard to bleed the fluid through, if so u may have a blocked flexy hose :)

i would have thought that if the discs, calipers and pads where all changed a few months ago it would be highly unlikey to be them. which leaves hoses, pipes or suspension, i'd go with the knackered hose whether blocked or so gubbed that it is expanding with the pressure.
