some people tell me that a long wheel base is no good for off roading is it true and why?. i don't think it makes much differents.

aye yer right thats only roughly 25%, but the thing is hump clearance, am sure someone like minidude can explain it. most people know that a longer wheelbase will ground on humps that shorter ones wont.

the original post was asking if lwb's wunt no good off road. which int true they just aren't as versitile as swb's...and then it come down to what kinda off road yer talking about.. if its just mud and stuff then a lwb will be as good as a swb. if yer doing extreme humpy bumpy roundy bouty type stuff then swb is the way to go.

i go out in my 90 with my mate in his 110. some of the tighter greenlanes and pay and play sites hes had trouble going around 90 degree corners. has to pull a few moves to swing it around. you also lose out on approach angles and decent departures and stuff cos of the longer wheelbase... its still good. can just be more of a ball ache sometimes.
depends on your overall use of the vehicle. if you dont need the extra seats of a 110CSW or the load space why are you buying one?
